 Wedding Video Tips
The decision to preserve your Wedding Day on video or DVD is the first step to creating a family heirloom that will be viewed and loved by generations to come.
Think about it. How valuable would a complete video of your parents, grandparents or great grandparents be today? That's how your video will be appreciated in the future.
There is only one opportunity to capture that day, so consider the following:

Hire a professional or have a family member or friend take the video?

The non-professional video can be entertaining but comes with risks: shakiness, focus problems, unreliable batteries, accidental shots of ceiling and floors, and usually an operator that will want to socialize and "party" as the day goes on.
A true professional is dedicated to one objective - capturing the best footage to produce the finest video.

Checklist:
Contact local references.

View serveral examples of their work.

Check out their equipment - digital (professional) cameras, computer editing, wireless mics. lights, etc.

Meet with the person who will be videotaping your wedding - how will they dress and interact with your guests?

Insist on a detailed contract with prices, times and deposits clearly indicated.

Ask if they belong to any professional orgainzations.

Check for licenses and insurances.

Lastly, rely on your intuition or "gut feeling" about the people you choose, your satisfaction and your family's heirloom depends on it!
